Podcasting is a rising trend – in the United States, 51% of Americans ages 12 and older have listened to a podcast as of 2019 versus 11% in 2009.
Podcasting got a huge boost with Spotify doubling down on the podcast wagon, investing in a lot of companies and even building its own podcast studios.
In the Philippines, we already have a niche community of listeners who are producing these – and some of them came from FM radio, so it should not be quite difficult to transition your listening habit from FM to the pod.
